Event Film At Woolston Manor Golf Club
Not only was it genuinely exciting to film this charity event for Woolston Manor Golf Club (we love a little bit of golf over at Oh Bro), but an honour to be able to document their annual Remembrance Day competition in support of the Royal British Legion. The club briefed us to produce a documentary style film that encapsulated the spirit of the event, in an unobtrusive way. After all, this was a real life competition, and we didn’t want want to put anyone off on their backswing!
How We Documented The Event
We had to keep our kit light and mobile so that we were agile enough to document the event. Yes, we’re aware that golf isn’t particularly fast paced, but golf courses are big and you need to keep moving if you want to find the best angles and light to capture the action. We opted for the trusty Sony A7sii accompanied by the DJI Mavic Pro for the aerial drone shots. But the most integral piece of kit that made this all possible, was the golf buggy that Tony over at Woolston Manor was kind enough to keep aside for us to use on the day!
How Woolston Manor Used Their Charity Event Video
The brief resulted in us producing a short form promo film about the charity event that the club was able to share on FaceBook and Youtube , proudly raising awareness for this incredible cause.
