London Craft Beer Event Films

The annual London Craft Beer Festival see’s hundreds of thousands of beer aficionados sample drafts from dozens of breweries at this 3-day event that includes music performances & pop-up eateries. We took to the crowds with the brief of shooting a selection short vox pop style films as well as documentary stills and exhibitor portraits for social. With so many interesting beers, stories and people on offer, we couldn’t get enough!

How We Documented The Event

With so many enthusiastic attendees at the event, we chose to keep the kit nice and compact, allowing us to film what we needed and overt any undue attention. Filming with the Sony A7sii supported by a trusty monopod gave us that flexibility without compromising on quality. Due to the nature of our “gorilla” style interviews, a simple clip on mic served it’s purpose perfectly out in the field.

For us, it was all about the stories, the ingredients, the people and more importantly their ideas and influences behind the brews. We aimed to film snap shots of what these exhibitors had on offer in a creative and accessible way. Our aim from there was to edit short form 60 second edits of the interviews, jazzed up with some b-roll for use on social media platforms such as Instagram.

How We Used The Event Videos

Being craft beer lovers ourselves, we also manage a page called @thelondoncraftbeer on Instagram (*Finally we can merge our love for beer with Film and Photography!!*) This gave us some great content to share with our followers and the event organisers over at The London Craft Beer Festival. Be sure to pop back, event photography blog coming soon!
